Apple Health Records is changing the medical industry by providing patients with access to their medical history. Through Apple Health Records, patients can review everything from what their blood pressure was at their last appointment to detailed notes from their doctor.
The mission of Apple Health Records is to empower patients. This empowerment happens by providing patients with access to their medical records so that patients can fully participate in the health care process.
Around 40 health care systems — from Stanford Medicine and Cedars-Sinai to NYU Langone Health and BayCare Health System — have partnered with Apple to participate in Apple Health Records.
In an interview with CNBC, Apple’s Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams said that Apple sees “the future as consumers owning their own health data”.
